Buttered Pecan Caramel Cake

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 2 cups sugar
– 4 large eggs
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1 cup milk
– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup chopped pecans
– 1 cup caramel sauce
