Buttered Pecan Caramel Cake

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 2 cups sugar
– 4 large eggs
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1 cup milk
– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup chopped pecans
– 1 cup caramel sauce

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
